Wivey Cares is hosting a weekend long open/secret/hidden gardens and arts and crafts event on the 6th and 7th June between 11am and 5pm. They are not looking for gardens that meet Chelsea standards but ones with more interesting or unexpected spaces, maybe showing visitors how they can support wildlife, or they may have an interesting history. Haven’t you ever wondered “what’s behind that door, do they have a garden?” when wandering around Wivey? Today, Margaret Browning and Lena Holland talk about this lovely and worthwhile fund raising event.

We talk to Kate Sheehan, Occupational Therapist and Chris Webb from The Estate Agency Consultancy about current market trends to talk about different ways in which accommodation can made more accessible as we all get older.
Wivey Link was originally set up to combat rural isolation but based in the centre of Wiveliscombe, it fast became a community hub for many groups and organisations. Finance Director Andrew Smith, Chair Alan Measures, Stephen Froud Director, Terry Field, past Director and driver and past Chair Pauline Homeshaw reminisce with stories from the past and look forward to the future as Wivey Link moves to a new location.
“The Laments of an Ageing Gardener” Artist Clare Duvergier continues her new short series on the 10Radio Community Show about her life as an artist and a passionate gardener. This time, Clare begins with “What is a garden?”
