9 “L B Loxley’s Wildlife”  This week LB delves into the mighty oak tree, it’s history and link to mythology. 

9.20  Jackie Clementines is organising an event here in Wivey  next Friday 16th January, to raise money for Palmed – medical supplies for people in Gaza. Today he gives  details of the event and the film “Tantura” which is the central focus of the evening.

9.35  The Wiveliscombe Community Centre’s Annual General  Meeting is next week and today Chairman Paul Tam  talks about the centre’s commitment to offering the  very best of facilities to the community and hopes to  encourage as many local people as possible to come to the AGM 

10     “Stargazing above Somerset”  Harold Mead talks about the skies above us in January

10.30  The summer of 2025 has been memorably hot and dry and for some, including Wellhayes Vineyard at  Clayhanger this has been a huge bonus in this   “unicorn” year for grapes.  Today, Vintners Simon and Alison Routh talk about this unique year, why the grapes have responded so well and wonders whether this will be a truly vintage year.

Andrew, aka "The Rockin Revd", is a retired priest living in Wellington who has been involved with 10Radio since its beginnings. Currently, he hosts the Home Service, a weekly programme bringing Christian worship & local churches to people's front rooms and also has his own Breakfast show on a saturday morning. He also co-presents 10Radio's Community Show with Pauline Homeshaw and is the current chair of 10Radio.
