Yes, the Co-op has selected 10Radio to be one of the local community causes that they are supporting this year. In particular, they are helping us to raise funds towards the second round of our school’s project whereby we are taking broadcasting equipment and expertise into some of our local primary schools to give some of the children experience in putting together their own radio show. What this means is that every time someone who is a Co-op member scans their membership card at a branch of the Co-op, 1p for every pound spent is donated to 10Radio, provided it is the cause selected to support. The real joy of this is that it doesn’t cost you a penny extra but 10Radio benefits from the purchase you have made. If you’re not a Co-op member and don’t have a card as shown then it only costs you £1 to join the scheme and you can do this by going to the Co-op membership website page at Co-op Membership – Co-op (coop.co.uk). Once you’ve got your card or if you already have one, make sure you go to the local causes section and identify 10Radio as the cause you want to support. So far we have raised over £120 but there’s a long way to go and we need to raise as much as we can before October of this year. So please do your bit to support 10Radio in this very simple way.
