On Saturday 13th July, 10Radio spent the morning at Wivey Town Library where it had its first studio 16 years.

In a one-off outside broadcast, the Wake up the Weekend breakfast show with the Rockin Rev., special editions of “Extraordinary People” with Ani Brayley and “It’s that woman again” with Julie Elkins and a special programme with Neil Gent provided live programming from Wivey Town Square.

Pictured above is Ani talking to Karen Collins, the town librarian, about her life and career.  Also featured was Barry Witherden talking to Julie (also pictured) about the early days of 10Radio when the former hairdressers located where the libray is based now formed the very first place from where 10Radio set up its studio 16 years ago.  Also Neil was able to talk to volunteers who work to keep the Wivey Comuntiy library going.

Highlights from the morning will be broadcast om 10radio in the coming weeks.
