9.50 Barry Witherden talks about IBD – Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Because of the nature of the illness people are very reluctant to talk about it. This is particularly concerning as it still remains very difficult to get a diagnosis until the illness is far advanced.
10 “Suzie Grogan’s Talking Books” Today Suzie talks to journalist and author Pete May, fellow Lake District lover and West Ham fan, about his books on the life of a ‘jobbing midlist’ writer working for decades in what is now a difficult environment for anyone with hopes of a career in the field. Falling incomes, fewer outlets for work, no advances and the challenges of AI – it still doesn’t stop us trying!
10.30 Kris approached our friends at Apple FM to talk about her doggie Flag who is quite a character. She has just moved to Wellington and has set up a coffee morning for small dogs in Coffee 1. Flag supported her through cancer, helps with fundraising and got himself elected as Mayor in the village where they lived in Devon. Jacqui Budd talks to Kris.
10.40 A recent survey shows 6 in 10 of us admit we’ve started cutting corners by buying unregulated or unsafe goods and services – despite the risks involved. We talk to Shaunagh Brown, ex-England Rugby Union player & former Gas Safe registered engineer and Ronan Howard, Customer First Delivery Lead at Gas Safe Register about the reasons and risks involved.

Andrew, aka "The Rockin Revd", is a retired priest living in Wellington who has been involved with 10Radio since its beginnings. Currently, he hosts the Home Service, a weekly programme bringing Christian worship & local churches to people's front rooms and also has his own Breakfast show on a saturday morning. He also co-presents 10Radio's Community Show with Pauline Homeshaw and is the current chair of 10Radio.
