1       Emma Poppel from “In the Mix” today talks about having to pause their youth club as serious funding and staffing problems become a biger threat to youth services than ever before.

2       The Asian hornet has been found in our area and the threat to our bee population is serious.  Today, Lynne Ingram, Asian Hornet Teams Coordinator with the Somerset Beekeepers Association talks about this threat and what it could potentially do to our native bees

3     “Stargazing above Somerset”  Harold Mead talks about the skies above us in October

4         Mark Stuckey will be known to many as one of the experts on the BBC TV series “The Repair Shop”.  Over his 8 years on the show he has repaired hundreds of broken things that people have brought in, many of great sentimental value.  He has just brought out a book entitled “Bright Spark” in which he describes how he wasn’t always good at repairing things but encourages that we all can be with patience and perseverance

5     Professor Sam Wass is a Child Development expert and Neurologist and explains how deep seated, but unfounded, childhood fears can sometimes prevent parents from taking their children for such simple, but important opportunities like having an eye test.
