9.30 "Talking Pictures" In this month’s Talking Pictures Josef Tucker will be spotlighting animals in leading roles in TV and films ... Black Beauty, Lassie, Champion the Wonder Horse and Toto in The Wizard of Oz. He’ll be talking about the characters and playing music from the films. Talking Pictures is sponsored by Cinema Obscura.

10.00 Mary-Anne Robb from magical Cothay Manor, hidden in the green depths of the Somerset countryside, talks again about China Girl, the resident Pekinese. Today Mary-Anne revels with China Girl in the beauty of an English Spring at Cothay

10.20 The Somerset Song Prize is a biennial national singing competition, promoting the art song, for singers aged 18 to 26. Harold Mead and Guy Robinson of the organising body The Taunton Festival of the Arts, tell 10 Radio about this prestigious event, the final of which is next weekend in Taunton.

11.00 "Suzie Grogan’s Talking Books" - This week Suzie talks to Devon author Elizabeth Ducie, about her switch from scientist to author and her current fiction series, beginning with the exciting thriller Counterfeit!

11.30 Shelley Did It! Walk 49 raised over £5K for research into Pancreatic Cancer in memory of Shelley’s husband Guy Wilkes who died from this cancer. Walking from Wivey to Woolacombe, Shelley completed the 49 miles and today she tells 10 Radio all about the walk, completed last Saturday.
