9.00am Former Pentathlete Lydia Rosling has packed so much into her life in 27 short years. She first competed in the Modern Pentathlon at the age of 14 and she represented Great Britain from 2007 to 2012. She is now a Modern Pentathlon Coach at King's College, Taunton and WellingtonSchool and P J Lennon recently caught up with her for the first of 2 interviews for 10 Radio.

9.30 Katie Venner runs Fermentaria from her idyllic location at Tracebridge. She teaches all things fermented – an ancient way to preserve the bounties of the vegetable garden in summer. Rosie Inge, restaurant reviewer for "What’s on Somerset" joined one of Katie’s classes recently to learn how to ferment!

10.00 Robina Longworth works for an MP in the House of Commons and her job includes research, support and an ability to be the eyes and ears of her boss! Robina talks about the day to work which her job entails and what her plans are for the future!

10.30 Mary Hyland is "Bringing the Past into the Present". Ask Mary where your name comes from, where your family comes from and who you are! This month, Mary tells us about research she has been doing into a family whose forbears worked at WindsorCastle, plus – some seasonal names for you to think about!

11.00 "Suzie Grogan’s Talking Books" - Today, on the last show before Christmas, Suzie will be chatting with SW authors and Talking Books favourites Krissy Eden and Jenny Kane about book choices for a loved one's Christmas stocking. Nothing better than a book for Christmas!

11.30 Barry Witherden talks to Tessa Mason, a co-ordinator of the Mindline service at Mind in Taunton & West Somerset, about their confidential helpline providing sympathetic listening, support and information to people who are in distress or feeling isolated. They also give details of the availability of the service over the Christmas and New Year period, and of opportunities to volunteer with Mindline.
